An example of responding to real-time news cycle
Once Kamala Harris become the Democratic nominee and misinformation about her qualifications for office, I decided to create content about qualifications to become president. It was easier to create because of my work and familiarity with the Department of Defense and their vetting process. I had completed a rough draft of that content when Trump’s classified documents case was dismissed. Then I had the added mission of accomplishing and articulating the following 3 goals to the media, the DOJ, the Harris campaign, and anyone else in a position of influence.
ACTION 1
The President of the United States should be disqualified from becoming a candidate if he does not qualify for a Top-Secret security clearance. Currently, certain members of the executive branch don’t have to possess any level of security clearance due to an apparent assumption by the authors of National Security officials that anyone seeking the highest office in the land, especially a public office with access to confidential information about American citizens, would have already had gone through some type of national security adjudication. I am working to add this to the Constitution’s list of qualification for a US President. The candidate must:
- be at least 35 years of age
- be a natural born citizen
- have lived in the United States for at least 14 years
- possess an active Top Secret clearance
ACTION 2
Now that Trump’s classified documents case has been dismissed, the American people do/will not have a full-accounting of the documents that he stole, how he might have used those documents, and the collateral damage incurred if any of the information in those documents were to be shared with American adversaries, or allies for that matter. This presents a National Security risk for at least two critical reasons:
- Trump’s affinity with Vladimir Putin who wants dismantle western democracies, primarily America.
- Donald Trump has been accused of violating federal law by interfering with American negotiations between Israel and Hamas. This has been “denied” by Trump and Netanyahu, but, after 10 years of Donald Trump, we know there is no line that he won’t cross. Especially when it comes to political posturing.
It would be an unprecedented decision for a sitting US President to effect the campaign of a presidential candidate of a major American political party, but in light of the dismissal of the classified documents case, Joe Biden must prevent Donald Trump from receiving classified information.
ACTION 3
For this last reason, there should also be an amendment to presidential qualification criteria that states all litigation involving mishandling of classified information by any candidate should be fully adjudicated favorably before he/she can be elected/re-elected.
